Yesterday, Sunday, I attended St George’s Anglican Cathedral and met the Dean, the Bishop, a clergy from my old diocese in Canada, and the person in charge of the Anglican International School in Jerusalem., Laurence Hilditch. A great morning.
Latter in the morning I went to the offices of Kids4Peace, a group trying to bring kids together from Muslim, Jewish and Christian faith communities. A laudable endeavor.
In the evening, I attended Christ Church, the oldest Protestant Church in the Middle East, and the service was being led by an Episcopalian priest from New Braunfels!
Today, Monday, I walked up to see Laurence at his school, the Anglican International school and had a good chin wag. He is from Northern Ireland, so knows something about the need to help people get along.
The Church of the Holy Sepulchre is very close to the hotel I am staying at so I often go there to do my morning prayers and devotions.
Tomorrow we are off to Galilee. Thanks for listening!
Father Bob
